Depth (and Entryways)

Let's start this week with a series of entry ways. As to why use venetian plaster or another plaster in an entry way -- READ this article over at House Beautiful, the designer for this Connecticut home said it perfectly. It's all about depth. Do you look at a wall and see flat or do you see dimension? What does that do in terms of welcoming you to the space or expanding the space? This is the thing that is so hard to communicate or show in a two dimensional medium (web or paper) but why venetian plaster finishes are just so darn special.
