Architectural Digest talks about venetian plaster

The articles in "Architectural Digest" are really good in terms of explaining the design philosophy and thinking behind the design. When I read about venetian plaster in this magazine, the concepts resonate -- here the homeowner was meticulous and wanted authenticity for his home. Using an integral colored plaster (venetian plaster) on the walls as he does takes it that one extra step from a replica of a french mansion to the real thing. Imagine the jarring element here of drywall or orange peel walls, it means that no matter how spectacular the furniture and floor, something would feel wrong. -- the molto bene wife
