The Signature Wall
Wall
finishes (like design itself) have gone through many changes over the years.
Wallpaper, followed by paint, followed by cheesy faux ( sponges
anyone?) followed by deep tone paint colors, followed by plasters,
and upgraded faux, followed by white and off white paints, grays
etc. etc.
Normally
when we are doing high end wall finishes, the first thing we are
looking at is the existing room, the flooring, furnishings, art etc.
What we are looking at is what type of effect do we need to create
here? Is this a room that has a lot of art and aesthetics such
that we are bringing a high end finish that is a backdrop that
simply complements and enhances? Or is this a space lacking a lot of
aesthetic that needs a very uniquely created finish that brings the
aesthetic into the room that it was lacking?
Nowadays we can create
some very beautiful and multilayered surfaces that while very unique
and appealing, might be cost prohibitive for a whole space.
The
solution is a signature wall. What is this?
Simply
put, you have one room you spend your time in and you want to make
special. One
wall will be the focal point. This is your signature wall.
Why
Signature? Because we'll walk you through a number of unique walls
samples and find one you like, then customize it with the colors you
choose, which makes it very unique and personalized for you. No one
else is going to have a wall exactly like that. As an additional
service (depending on the type of finish and material used) we can often take the same finish and create smaller wall
panels or canvases that you can hang in other rooms to tie into
the wall. There are many possibilities in terms of materials texture
and colors.
Here's just a few additional examples:
