Bringing life to kitchen cabinets through refinishing

Let's look at just a few of the many options you have in faux-finishing existing cabinets.
Using a paint medium, you have the whole rainbow of colors to work with.
Why not make over your cabinets in a peach or butter yellow color? Or plum?
Why not use some stencils around the border or use an imprint on the insets of the doors ? Why not paint them in a black with a gold imprint or emblem, and soften the edges to reveal a gold layer beneath.? Why not strie them or use a textural material to create an aged or older look? Why not use metallics?

The point is your options are pretty much unlimited . Working with a good finisher or designer you can create a look for your existing cabinets using paint colors and other mediums that is aesthetic and unique to your home. The best thing is that refinishing existing cabinets is usually considerably cheaper than resurfacing or replacing. Be as creative as you want in sample making to come up with just the right look. Then you can make your new kitchen a reality.
